You know, NP--one of my favorite things I used to do as a bartender and taxi driver, was getting to know all the people behind the masks. I am such a born sociologist, I always want to hear each person's unique story!
Once upon a time there was a Face that looked upon this world with total openness. The Face smiled and created man in its’ image. Man could not match the smile that encompassed the whole world. Man provided himself with a mask to hide his mind from the truth of his failure. The mask is every lie man makes.
It would be nice if people remembered this in society. Sometimes it seems that people forget that there is a person under the layers of social significs.
... and sometimes the story becomes the mask. Thought-provoking as usual, Marty - thanks for sharing.
