And spit it out, if it's rotten? lol. Very well said, Marty. Take your time with life, and don't rush. I believe one of your aphorisms that got stuck in my mind was that "if you have to rush, then don't go". =)
I don't even like chewing. I'm still waiting for food in the form of a pill. But yes, enjoy the moments in life, cause if you are just rushing through to get to the end, well that's death.
wisdom behind your words is a story of life, this line hold lot like a sea in a bowl,
that is what we need, just take a moment and try to take a look at the blessings we have, this is our basic need because it gives us stability and satisfaction, really beautiful NF.
It's almost spooky Marty - you have captured it so beautifully. Few years back, the young daughter counted secretly that I had chewed a bite 60 + times !
And it is not JUST eating slowly, like some friends here have meant. A bit of practical advice: chew it up (except for liquid or paste), allow it to stay just a little longer on your tongue, and, most importantly, focus your mind there (don't need to close your eyes unless you're onto some tasting competitions), and....enjoy. Trust me, you'll find a whole new world with every meal (and not just (empty?) philosophical or intellectual talks....)!
Fantastic advice. Everyone need to just slooooowwww dooowwwwwnnn a bit. :)
