The most horrible incident I have seen is someone who has received the message she had a terminal condition. There was nothing anyone could do to either postpone or hurry the event. They were powerless to have an impact on when the passing over will happen. All that is left was to wait. The time remaining could have been beautiful family time. In this case each moment was torture. It was the worst holiday from death ever. I wish this circumstance would never happen to another.
Hehe...not the way I would have thought of it, but reminds us to appreciate the time we've got here! Whenever I'm getting too caught up in my head and forgetting to actually live my life I try to remind myself that I only get one of these precious things we call life :)
YES! As you know I'm doing limited social media this week but had to stop by. As a Canadian, the word holiday means vacation but since I live in the U.S. now I reluctantly use the word holiday only as a holiday.
That's one way of lookin' at things!

ReplyDeleteThis also answers the mystery of why most of us feel like zombies at work - it's the busman's holiday from death.

ReplyDeleteDeath is a part of life and I use it to remind myself that all is transient. Hoping you're having a wonderful time there Mart! Smile.
