Art is a picture of the spirit.

  1. I believe that art is an expression that comes from within our very being, from within our soul. It captures how we understand beauty and how the experience of that understanding affects the way we interact with the world we live in.

  2. Absolutely! Some are in black&white, some are very colorful, always according to the artists’ personality or state of mind.

Merry Christmas to all of you!

  3. Art in all its forms can be a window to the soul, indeed.

  4. totally, art happens when you have the way to capture the essence of something, you can make believe in feelings and thoughts to other people. it is like the storm that moves a boat in the big sea. it is like the sun in every morning. Like the moon in a special night. So many ways. You must trust in it and develop some kind of true. A hug.

  5. All acceptable art is suspect: you're supposed to appreciate it.

Art is personal. Art IS spirit.

  10. Art is intensely personal. What we like and dislike is part of the picture of who we are. Art is also what we create and destroy.

    Thank you for the meditation.

  14. Oh God, i cant agree more with what you wrote.....i have started painting again yesterday just by listening to a particular song that i posted on my site....i am obsessed with it and for some reason it has ignited my desire to paint again :) i am sure its my soul wanting to identify its desire through a paint brush :)

  15. Though I do not quite understand what spirit is, I understand what art is.
Art is life's justification for being...therefore, perhaps a picture of the spirit or a concerto of the spirit, or a poem of the spirit, or...

  16. I could not agree with you more, here. Art expression whether through creative writing, music or painting is a very subjective experience. What some people might say ugly is beautiful to another person's eyes.
