Nobody wants to be nothing. But that's the greatest thing in the world to be.

  2. Great post NP. Reminds me of a song title that says, "I'm just a nobody, trying to tell everybody, about somebody who can save everybody".

  3. I enjoy being an unknown nobody and wouldn't change place with any celebrity even for a moment. :)

  4. P.S. To those who I love and who love me I am a somebody and that's all that truly counts.

  5. Hmmm... it might be the most comfortable thing to be. Being a nobody, and being 'nothing' doesn't strike me as the same thing. There's a comfort to being a nobody, in not standing out from the crowd, and of feeling a bond to our common fellow beings. But sometimes, you need to be a somebody for someone in your world. If you're nothing, you can never be the presence another might need. If you're just a noboy, you can be turned into a somebody by virtue of how much you care. Aaarrrgg.... It's hard to think straight on a Friday afternoon ;)

  6. One could never be a somebody to everybody so, it is wise to think that you are a nobody then find out that you are a somebody to many.

  8. As the punchline to the joke goes - Ha! Look who thinks he's nothing!

  9. I got really chastised for not having a lot of art product for Holidazzle, but I really didn't care. I wanted to be a "nobody" and let the emerging artists shine for a change. There is something to be said for being the "nobody" right now. I am happy that we had so many "somebodies" this year! Thanks for your comment on my Christmas Letter, Marty!

  10. Once you are somebody, it will be hard to go back to nobody. But many of us long to be somebody someday.

  11. To God, there are no "nobodys." "The worth of souls is great in the eyes of God." I try to see everyone I meet in that same way.

That said, I love the anonymity of being just a regular person. Really successful, secure people are down to earth. They never forget where they came from.

  12. I hate to play Devil's advocate here, but as one who is pretty close to nothing, it is really not all that wonderfu.

  13. JMyste-pretty close to nothing is nothing. You have to go all the way.

  14. Everybody wants to be somebody, but you can't be somebody to everyone. I'm nothing to every person reading this. If you never know what it's like to feel like nothing to others then you'll never realize how important of a something you are to others.
