Cause the world is a surprise. Everything looks different than the dark bubble we were in before birth, then colors and noise and other people....If only the surprises in life could maintain being seeing a tree for the first time or watching an ant, or maybe just looking at the clouds are they rush by....Having all these new beautiful things seen for the first time...
Indeed, fortunately we can't remember it!

ReplyDeleteMore of a shock is when they snip part of your penis skin off. SURPRISE!
ReplyDelete@thoushaltnotsteel, the good news is fewer boys are being forced into that surprise.
ReplyDeleteI was tempted to say that a few less surprises would be fine, but as you point out life itself is the surprise so... The more the better.
ReplyDeleteThis makes a lot of sense, I never thought of it that way before.

ReplyDeleteIncreasingly, I experience things as delightful or awe-inspiring rather than surprising...
ReplyDelete"Being born was a big surprise" ...it made me laugh anyway!
ReplyDeleteYou're right! I like thinking of it as 'surprises' rather than 'challenges'...
ReplyDeleteYes, the biggest one!
ReplyDeleteI also prefer "surprises" to any other word when describing what life is full of. ;)
