We waste this life dreaming of another.

  1. Did you have me in your mind when you wrote that aphorism? Of course, I am a delusional.

  2. Don't think this is necessarily true - for some, dreams are hope in a life of despair...
    Kind regards.

  4. Nothing against dreaming, but unless it's backed up with action, it's little more than a distraction and a waste of time. Why dream of another life when you can make the most of the one you've already got? Being happy and content is actually a lot easier than being dissatisfied and unhappy. All it takes is a simple decision.

  5. There is an ancient Chinese saying: "foods in other people's plates are always more delicious". Many people don't really know how to appreciate what they have in their hands.

  6. I'm definitely a day dreamer. I find that the sadder I am, the more I day dream so I guess on days when this life is perfect we really don't need to dream of another.

  8. I'm a HUGE day dreamer and, yes, sometimes I do it too much. Seriously. It's my number one vice.

  10. I try very hard to live my life far more than dreaming of another one.

  13. So true, and sometimes it's not until we get to the other side of that green grass that things don't look as rosy as we thought. Some dreams are meant to be just that... a dream to brighten our days here.

  14. Spending all one’s time dreaming of another life means we miss the enjoyment and opportunities of the life we are currently living, and that surely is a waste.
