We love those to whom we can tell our story.

  1. A great point, for sure. I love stories, so it definitely makes sense.

  2. I agree. I wrote a novel and I'd love someone to read my story.

  3. True. Sometimes we think it is selfish to want to tell our story to others but the truth is we all need that opportunity. I do love hearing other's stories as well though.

  4. How true. I love people who listen to me and I love it when someone trusts me enough with their stories.

  5. To trust someone to listen to your story without fear of being judged is a beautiful thing.

  6. And thus we can never quite love someone who refuses to listen to our story...

  7. Alright, I love your new aphorism. I have so much to say about it! I want to use it, but I am afraid I will explain it too much and ruin the beauty of it

  8. Sometimes, I feel closer to complete strangers than my own flesh and blood, probably because of the freshness of exchanging stories that haven't been heard before, but also because of the lack of agendas.

  10. Being heard, knowing we matter...giving the same in return...what's not to love?

  12. We all love our audiences. That said, a good story would captivate most of us.

  15. Yes, this strikes me as the essence of relationships. Interesting that it is reciprocal - we are also closest to those whose stories we can tolerate/enjoy.

NP, you must love the world because you share your stories with us all. Thank you.

  16. We love those who we can relate to, those who will listen to our story without an agenda.
