Just What They Are

Things are in the end-just what they are.

I'm a firm believer that the appearance of something most times falls into "what you see is what you get" category. Some things just "are" and there is little we humans can do to defend against that.

  2. We spend our lives discovering what they are. Sometimes we give too much significance to things, while we undermine the significance of others. At the end of the day, people value things differently.

  3. Yes, it is what it is at the end of the day. But the insightful see them for what they are before the end.

  4. We often pursue “things” as objects of desire. But in the end, “things” are not what matters in life. What matters is what’s in the heart, the soul. Good aphorism.

  5. I've gotten into trouble when I didn't see things as they are/were, but rather as I wished them to be. In the end, I realized that the truth was there all along.

  6. True, but people's perceptions of things can vary greatly.

  8. Truth is simple; it's right before your eyes. It has depth, but it's not deep or complicated.

  10. Everything is what it is, but...what is it?

  11. That is a deceptively simple aphorism, Marty. It debunks all those high sounding, fabrications.

  13. Hie NP..
Though I agree with your aphorism, but I would also I like to point out about a very well known thing - You get what you try for!
Now my question is, if we say that, in the end things are going to be as they were.. then aren't we stopping a person from making an attempt to change it?? I hope you are getting my point?? :p
