My daily aphorisms. Reflections on life, death, beauty, change, love, happiness, etc., written in a poetic and whimsical style.
Hmmm.... Not sure on this one, because I don't like 'being nothing' and honestly, home is my wife's arms. Its where the stress melts away, and we can have our own little world.
ReplyDeleteThis perfectly describes how I feel at home...laid back with no agendas and complete spontaneity. Actually, it's gotten to where I feel at home just about anywhere now.
ReplyDeletebe nothing but myself. agree.
ReplyDeleteHome is in my head.
ReplyDeleteI can relax but I don't want to be nothing.
ReplyDeleteNot my home, I have 4 kids
ReplyDeleteI like this NP. You can be nothing, anything and everything or whoever you choose. I'm FREE
ReplyDeleteLike, Yun Yi, I think the "nothing" is the freedom to be be nothing but yourself. You don't have to be perfect, or fit any particular label (whether self-imposed or pressured from others) Like Dan, "home" for me is a person and not a place. Maybe because I moved 15 times by the time I was 13 years old. A suitcase can hold a lot, but not the contents of my heart.
ReplyDeleteIndeed! My home is my soft place to land. It should be that way for everyone.
ReplyDeleteSo true.
ReplyDelete...I need a home.
I want that freedom.
Home is where the heartaches are...
ReplyDeleteHome is where I go to escape the rest of the world.
ReplyDeleteNP, it's more like relax and be everything with me!
ReplyDeleteHome is indeed a space - be it physical or mental - where we can go to be our truest selves, no pretense, no added padding. If that's what you mean by 'nothing', I agree wholeheartedly!
ReplyDeleteHome is a refuge and as described in your aphorism, as much a state of mind as it is a physical place.
