Some lives, like some remarks, only make sense out of context.

  1. An interesting concept. Kind of along the lines of the exception proving the rule. Sometimes confronting the out of context makes one pause and really look at what one is seeing.

  2. I've stoppped long ago trying to figure out people - specially my mother-in-law. I feel better for it.

Hope you're keeping well and that you had a nice weekend. :)

  3. No Sarah I think he's talking about mine! Actually I think we all fit in this "round hole" (Like the square pegs we sometimes are!) every once in a while. ;-)

  4. Only when I live my life out of context do I come close to understanding dissociative identity disorder...

  5. Is my life out of context? It will take me a while to think about it.

  6. Bit like dancing a foxtrot when the band are playing a tango - you are still dancing but the rhythm is out!

  7. Read enough of this stuff and you won't never have to die...you can keep on trucking forever.

  8. An interesting way of looking at things. I think that applies to all the inventors, artists, scientist that lead their lives out of context and got to be in the heart of all history books.

  9. I'm not sure that I understand this (or whether I'm supposed to:). Does it mean these lives are expressions of a universal truth (that you can only be seen when they're *out of context*). Wouldn't this be true about all lives?

  10. Taken out of context, I think my life would be bizarre!

  12. I would go even further and say that "most lives" make sense out of context. My own life wouldn't make a bit of sense (and would possibly be taken the wrong way) without the context that is involved in it.

    Another though provoking aphorism, Marty!
