The Artist

God had no purpose in creating the world.  He was just having fun.

  10. Art is not a mistake. And it can be dreadful if you experience it fully. True art offers moments of joy, but just moments. The idea of God as an Artist, and not as I was taught "Infinite Omniscience," gives me hope.

  11. Marty, I like this aphorism. The idea that God was just having fun when he created the world made me think of a child tossing marbles around (planets!). In many ways, it’s actually a positive image. It made me smile!
