Pleasure

Pleasure, like the sparrow, never sits on any one branch too long.

  1. True, but if you put out plenty of seed, it will stay in your back yard, nest, and have babies.

  3. Pleasure that's sustained for too long can become painful, just like sitting in one place for too long...they're two sides of the same coin. I don't go looking for them necessarily, but pleasurable moments always seem to find me. They're free to come and go as they wish.

  7. Very nice NP. The harder you pursue it the faster it flies away.

  8. Beautiful simile and metaphor. Pleasure is fickle and ephemeral.

  9. Maybe to remind us to not sit on one branch for too long. To go, do, live, explore and pleasure will come along.

  13. Very deep words of wisdom, pleasure is a fleeting desire we all chase, she is an elusive mistress.

  14. Pleasure is wonderful when you experience it, but it’s a transitory emotion. Like the sparrow, it comes and goes in fleeting moments.
