When Death Speaks

When death speaks to me it speaks only of the beauty of life.

  1. Well put. I don't know that death has spoken to me, but if he did I would like to think he would tell me to just keep on living a great life because you only get one shot at it.

  3. He has not spoken to me yet, but when he does I'm going to tell him to go away and don't come back.

  5. Maybe it is the life well lived that does not fear death, but has a cordial relationship with him. ps- it's nice to get the inside information that death appreciates the beauty he profoundly impacts.

  7. As an anesthesiologist, I've had two or three close calls where life was slipping right through my fingers in the operating room. Resuscitating someone who's clinically dead is an extreme reminder of life's fragile beauty. Life itself is life's greatest mystery.

  8. Yep.
It's presence certainly does make us appreciate even more the beauty of life.

  9. While I'm alive, all death can do is speak. Life is a beautiful thing if you make the most out of it.

'Where I am, it cannot be, and where it is, I cannot be' - not sure where I heard this quote.

  10. In the end, that's a beautiful one. Not sure I live by it, but its a nice way to look at life itself.

  11. Ironic, and an advise that comes a bit late to be of any good! That said, it is an aphorism that set me thinking.

  13. So true. It saddens me so when someone doesn't get to experience the beauty of life long enough.

  14. That’s very poetic, Marty. Life and death are revolving cycles and there is beauty in both.
