My daily aphorisms. Reflections on life, death, beauty, change, love, happiness, etc., written in a poetic and whimsical style.
I'm particularly fond of the late, great, Douglas Adams' work of genius - The Meaning of Liff.I believe his definition for the word "worksop" is - "Somebody who never gets anything done, as they spend all their time making lists headed THINGS TO DO - URGENT"Nice aphorism, cheers.
I so enjoy your posts. As usual, I'm filling in with my own thoughts, which is the idea I believe.
LOve this one.
Circular relativism. On form.
'Tis the gift to be simple, 'tis the gift to be free'Tis the gift to come down where we ought to be,And when we find ourselves in the place just right,'Twill be in the valley of love and delight. When true simplicity is gain'd,To bow and to bend we shan't be asham'd,To turn, turn will be our delight,Till by turning, turning we come 'round right.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Love it ! What an excellent statement.
There is nothing important in life, unless its unimportant. *nod*
I love it!!!The importance of being unimportant cannot be stressed enough.
eventually everything unimportant will become the most important, we just need to remember to never leave it behind.
I'll admit, this one baffles me a little, though I know what's unimportant to me might be very important to someone else and vice versa. You shouldn't count anything out!
This is important: the world should know!
Likewise, all ugly things are beautiful, but don't forget all beautiful things are ugly...:):)
marty, it is not important that i fell and busted myself up, but it is important that i have the ability to heal!!xoxo
Good one, Marty! That would be on the top of my list as well. The important thing about importance is that is it unimportant, so true!
It's at the top of my list. Have a wonder-full week!
One can't beat taking the time making everything that is unimportant be at the end of the list. Great Post NP!
Again, with one sentence you make me smile and think. I'll have to add this one to my list :)
