My daily aphorisms. Reflections on life, death, beauty, change, love, happiness, etc., written in a poetic and whimsical style.
Somethings ARE sure.
It is nice to know there are somethings you can definitely count on, particularly since there are so many things you can't.
Very nice :)...certainly, 'knowing' is having confidence, and sometimes knowing that it's okay we don't know everything is freeing as well...
And sometimes I see seagulls and other time's I sea monsters...x0x0x0x
nice np! confidence is a belief system, which do not need proof.
Hello, NP. I'm now following you. (I Thought I already was.) It's actually 'believing is seeing', not the other way round! :)
I do "get" this aphorism but have no meaningful comment to make - sorry.
The little-big things in life we take for granted.
To have such faith, such child-like faith, there's not much else we need I reckon :)
Confidence and implicit faith! I like this one NP.
I like the things in life that we know for sure. They have a stabilising effect on life. Have a good day:)
In these times of uncertainty, it's nice to be reminded of this and cultivate this inner knowing for other things.
It's all about believing in yourself. Pure faith!Great as always Marty!
Faith, focus, and confidence towards what one wants to achieve in life.
My reading: everything has its positive and negative side. One might be happy to find a sea that can carries him towards his dream. Or his sea might drown him. Too much positive thinking might just be as bad (or as good) as too little positive thinking.
Very funy, I hope so:)
This inherent acceptance that "the sea is there waiting for me" brings about Profound peace, stability and clarity. Deeply appreciated
There is a certain comfort in being able to count on certain things being what they are. Perhaps as we grow in experience, we tend to learn what other things we can count on.
Marty, I have a lot of confidence that when Rod and I go to Jekyll Island in August, the sea will be there waiting for me! Good one, Marty!!
That really is confidence! :)... I'd also add though that if it starts to recede away from you, run away and find a high ground. There is such a thing as being overly confident and you'd not want to be swept up by the tide.
Whenever I go to the sea, the waves run away from me, I think they don't like me and get sad, but then they come towards me again and I am filled with happiness for a moment, but they don't seem to like that and leave me again.
Someday, we all walk towards the sea, I agree, it is waiting for me :)
the sea seems too far away...
I went to sea to see the sea, and what did I see? I see Sharks!!!
We joined the navyto see the worldand what did we seewe saw the seaWe saw the Atlanticand the Pacificand the Pacific wasn't terrificand the Atlantic wasn't what it was cracked up to be.etc.Attribution - not sure - Bob Hope, maybe?
and surely it is waiting.Dear Marty, I wanted to tell you that I have permanently deactivated my account from BC and it was the place which introduces your blog to me.Now when I am not a part of that community I shall try to keep you updated via comments at your blog. Now you can walk towards may blog (with confidence that) many flowers are really waiting for you.
