A dream separates, but a look unites.

  2. An interesting point of view. Does it depend on the dream?

I'll have to think about this.

  3. A dream separates when it is not the same dream.

  4. Dreams separate us from reality and perhaps, give us a chance to see alternate choices. But, a look is the real thing...reality strikes back.

  5. Thank you, Count! It's always a pleasure when someone understands.

  6. Another view... interrelational!

A dream separates because two people cannot share a dream together. It's entirely a one-person space.

A look is the most fundamental connection between two people and recognition of their common reality (depending on your philososphy.)

This one's got layers. I like it.

  7. Gotta agree with Jackrabbit, this one's layered, and I love it too! :)

We all smile, we dream. Even in differences, we are connected.

    Bless you Mart!

  8. This one has a few different layers--but I really see where you are going with this. Dreams are so disconnected anyone--disconnected from us and our lives. Dreams can only be our own but a look is something we can share.

  9. A very fair comment! and also the aphorism's constituent elements could be swapped around to create its opposite...I like that.

  10. As a friend said to me once, "If you never had a dream it can never come true!" I think the exclamation mark says it all...
