  4. It sort of depends. Arguing for the sake of arguing is worthless, but making your point with logical coherent arguments is an important skill to have. Good for teachers, students, politicians...

  8. I read somewhere an argument it is one of the few times people are really truthful. I disagree, many use it as an excuse to ‘blow off steam’ so it is not constructive in that sense at all. You can’t avoid conflict but you can manage it. Perhaps it does have value if it is fair and justified? I prefer people who rather argue with me than those who pretend to agree and then discuss me in my absence
