Your aphorism reminds me of the saying: "I walk to the beat of my own drum."
ReplyDeleteAnyways, I like this one too. It expresses not just individuality but being capable of knowing oneself.
Beautifully put, Marty! Those who think there always be some shortcut and never try things themselves simply missed true joy of life!
ReplyDeleteThat is profound, Marty. It set me thinking...
ReplyDeleteA beautiful quote to begin the day with.
thats music
ReplyDeleteI used to think I was one of those unfortunate people who had to learn things the hard way, then I realized I was one of those people who prefers to experience life for myself on my own terms. That has a nice ring to it :-)
ReplyDeleteP.S. I love your aphorism.
DeleteSets me spinning.
ReplyDeleteThere is love you never feel unless you give it.
There is beauty you never see unless you create it.
There is truth you never know unless you express it.
Bravo, excellent.
So nice to ponder this. Most of us will never win a trophy, but all of us have something to share, even if it's to a goldfish.
ReplyDeleteThis hit home literally! A baby grand piano is a new unexpected addition in my home but no one knows how to play it. A friend who is an accomplished pianist said you don't have to know, just noodle with it.
ReplyDeleteSo true, and we all have our individual songs to play in the orchestra of life!
