You have to let the balloon go if you want to see it fly.

  1. Good one. I got an immediate visual of the floating balloon in the French film The Red Balloon.

  2. First fill it with something lighter than the air you breathe out.
Unless you are a dragon of course!

  4. Nothing as uplifting as watching it float away and the possibilities of it's journey.

  5. I can't stand the sound of a bursting balloon, yes it's better to let it fly. Haha.

  6. Unless, of course, it's a lead balloon... ;)

  7. Don't know the author, but this is a good one:
“Imagination is like a lofty building reared to meet the sky - fancy is a balloon that soars at the wind's will”

  8. Fear that it will not keeps you clutching at the tether.

  9. One of the most beautiful things I've read from you so far, Marty. Thanks for such brilliance.

    Kiss your cheeks.

  10. What is more wondrous? I love seeing children playing with balloons (or kites). Again, images of summer!

  11. Of course these days we're told not to let go. Bad for the environment. Interesting coincidence.

  12. Why do I feel such reluctance to letting go? What is this tendency to cling? What is the inertia that keeps holding onto "the way I see things"?

Giving up is the only gain.

    When the balloon is released
    it flies.

    Thanks n.p.
