When your burden gets too heavy to carry, you learn how to carry it.

  1. We are all carrying our burdens unconsciously, and often unseen - it is only when they become too heavy that we notice them and learn to carry them well.

I really enjoy your posts. ;)

  3. Totally true! And when you give up carrying your burden, you are dead! Some people notice that, some don’t. The ones that are capable of noticing it can take this opportunity to really grow; the others are like zombies, only waiting to be properly buried.

  4. I carried it for way too long, then I dumped it on my way back to Tucson!

  5. Maybe looking at it from at different point of view stops being a burden.

  6. For me it's been a case of "when my burden gets too heavy to carry, I tend to drop it and spend to long trying to pick it up before I open myself up to the help of others." I'm trying day by day to change that and every day I get that sucker a little bit higher of the ground. Great Aphorism Marty always a pleasure to read your words my friend.

  10. Hello Mr. Profound,
top of the day to you! ;-)
I like this one, it reminds me of one of my favorite little stories:

This is a giant block of whatever is most difficult for you to carry & trust me on this, you'll carry it more times than you can count until you decide that's exactly what you want to do most & then it won't weigh a thing anymore.

  11. When your burden gets too heavy...you learn how to put it down. A heavy weight can make a stronger back... or it can wake us up from the dream of being a body.

  12. I really do believe this is true--we are only given burdens we are able to carry (or able to learn how to carry). As usual, powerful!
