There is music you never hear unless you play it yourself.

  1. I could definitely make some noise if I tried harder. =)

  2. I just wish I didn't have to hear myself practicing in my head for hours in order to find the right notes.

  3. As a musician--I really agree with this. You understand music on a much deeper level when you play it yourself. You can also make it your own that way.

  5. I read this one twice. And I swear a faint snippet of music played in my head. Funny thing I have no idea what the tune was. Your words like the author are inspiring.

  7. And also beauty, friendship, love, knowledge, peace, to sum up, all the best, if you wish so.

  9. Now that I'm older, I can't make out words very well. Hearing the different tones and motions makes the song even more enjoyable.

  10. Music of the heart, mind and soul can have a profound affect on ones attitude. We all must listen to our hearts ans souls today to be truly happy. Great post. I love your work and insight into life.

  11. Had to comment on this one - in our heads every day we write our own song - it's a happy tune if we want it to be, a funeral dirge if we desire that - but either way - we select the song.

    Profound. As always!

  12. Actually you hear it, but no one else does, UNTIL you play it.

  14. I have just this week had an epiphany about something that is just this sentiment. If you don't do it, how will it ever get done?

  16. Yes! I once heard a Mark Twain quote that comes to mind: "You might as well go out on a limb...that is where all the fruit is." It takes boldness (and going past fear of looking like an idiot) to give birth to the whatever the life force wants to express through our particular mind and body. But why not make the music that otherwise will remain unheard!

n.p.- do you write prose? I'd love to see some of your aphorisms bloom into prose...Just wondering.
