The sea will wash away our footprints but not the fact we made them.

  2. The sea for me is Mum's memory. She may forget that we were there, but we will always remember.

  3. Actions are seemingly ephemeral, but maybe that's why they can't be taken away from us.

  6. I loved that one, as much as I love the sea!!! Very inspiring, indeed! I immediately thought about our lives, no matter what side we take - right or left - what really matters is the power that we have to make choices. Always!
    Have a nice weekend!

  7. The sea is not interested in our footprints or the fact we made them and merely follows the laws of gravity governed by the sun and moon thereby leaving a pristine beach for more footprints...

Time will wash away our errors written in sand so that every success will stand like the rock that we find on the beach that is polished by the waves.

  8. Which means we still have to be careful about how we make them.

  9. We see the present and look toward the futre; yet the past is gone forever, just as our footprints in the sand are washed away and the fact that we made them. This is a profound revalation of time and actions. we must capture the momment in pure love. Thanks Marty. You are the best.

  10. Nor will it wash away the memory of those prints that are like impressions in the rocks of life.

  11. OK, Marty ...you got me with this one. This is the essence of this life. Our bodies are the footprints that vanish, but what we essentially are inside is the other half of the equation. This one is brilliant and I might just steal it. My best

  12. Love it!

Have written it in my "Things to lift me up" journal.

A kind word or deed never hurt anyone, but a mean one can crush a soul.

  15. I love the way you put this. So eloquent.

I think about it in terms of the people we meet. Our influence and impression live forever even though we are mortal.

  16. Wow. Beautiful. I love the sea--and I think most people do. I feel we are drawn to the sea because that is our deepest origin.
