All roads lead to happiness, if happiness is the road you're on.

  2. They do also say "All roads lead to Rome" - well I went there a few weeks ago for the first time ever with my wife and little boy and I certainly felt a great sense of happiness looking forward to it which was even exceeded on the day.

A positive mind set goes an awful long way!

  4. I am currently on the road less travelled by--it could be the yellow brick road, or it could be the road to perdition, but I hope that it is the road to happiness. Hurry up! Follow me! We've got nothing to lose, and everything to gain.

  7. Excellent! The converse is also true- All roads lead to misery, if misery is the road that you are on.

  8. P.S. Have you read David Foster Wallace's 2005 Kenyan College Commencement Speech? It's available online. I read it yesterday for the first time and was powerfully struck by it. Somehow the way your aphorisms shift my perception is similar to the effect that this speech by Wallace had on me.

  9. That's the only road for me. It has sunshine with very little rain. Plus, I like the sparkly stones it's paved with.

  10. I love this one.

What about this one? "It belong to you, also.
"When I lose something I was afraid to lose I find I don't miss it." (NP)

All the best and a cool week-end!

  12. Marty, your profile is not complete. Please take care of this as soon as possible, because I want to know more about the person that you are. We are friends. You know A LOT about me, so you had better give it up, pal.

  13. We all must find our own path to happiness, but the road is within.

  14. Marty...I read this one and now I can't get that blasted Willie Nelson song "On the Road Again!" out of my head...

  15. All roads lead to nowhere.
Because a human builder only sees a little way and beyond the horizon is something yet to be conquered.
