My daily aphorisms. Reflections on life, death, beauty, change, love, happiness, etc., written in a poetic and whimsical style.
So true, especially in the days of voracious consumerism.
The unsatisfiable hunger for more is one of humanities greatest sicknesses.
That is human nature, we are never satisfied, but that is also beautiful as we always push ourselves to progress :)
And enough is no more!
Good one, Marty. More in never enough because it just leads to wanting more, it’s often the root of discontent. As you so aptly put it, “what is is plenty.”
So true & insightful.
So true. I think so much discontentment arises from fear of the unknown, always worrying about what's going to happen tomorrow, and not just being able to enjoy the moment at hand. Great aphorism, Marty!
Very true indeed. As humans we will never be satisfied.
More than enough is like obesity. A little here, add a little more there, and the next thing...... you're more than stuffed....
For me trying to be grateful for what I have seems to help but sometimes it's hard to do.
