Perfect Satisfaction

If one bite fills you, you don't need two.

  1. It would have to be one bite of something I did not care to swallow because in this instance ... one would be plenty.

  2. Unfortunately, though, I tend to over eat when it really tastes good. :)

  3. But you could keep one aside for a late-night snack. Besides, whoever has the most bites wins.

  5. There is this old Syrian TV series which was very popular. There was a talking donkey in the series. The donkey told his owner "Do you know why there aren't any poor donkeys, but there are poor humans? The man answered with a negative. The donkey then said "Because donkeys do not eat more than they can and they leave the rest for the other donkeys."

That of course was a type of social satire because we call someone a donkey when they are acting foolish, and that scene showed that donkeys are not more foolish than humans.

  7. That's true but you know how I just love my food NP. It's got to be 2 bites for me.

  8. That's a lesson most people have to learn on a diet. We've gotten to where we use smaller plates when we eat, so we can't get as much on it.

  9. I agree! The problem of always wanting more is a function of ignoring satisfaction.

  10. If you truly appreciate what you have, I think you can more accurately tell or even notice if you're "full" with one bite. I'm guessing a habit of greed is like being on automatic pilot in a way.

  12. This is timely during the season of over indulgence.

  13. Ideally, that should be the case, Marty, but there is no end to human avarice. Well said!
