I found all my prayers answered in the silence of the stone.

  2. I presume you chose ‘stone’ to mean absolute stillness? I read this as you have quietened your mind, and obtain your answers from a very deep meditative state.

  3. I need silence to thrive. I get anxious from the overstimulation of our world - talking, texting, music, TV - it seems as though something is always ON. I LOVE my quiet time. :)

  4. Sermons in stone...the great cathedrals speak this way. So perhaps do the stones of the field.

  5. I choose to start my days in silence with nothing on my agenda other than just being and meditating. I rise early and sit bundled up on deck chair with my cup of cocoa between my hands. As I inhale the aroma my mouth watering in anticipation of the moment the first creamy swallow will glide over my tongue, I sigh a single audible sigh, and then begin to seek the silence.

  7. Answered prayers are answered love, when i pray i don't pray for myself but for others. I pray that others continue to have love and strength so that in their own petitions, they will pray for me and my needs.

  8. Count Sneaky is so right. I love this one. Marty, thank heavens for your wisdom, it brings me back from the precipice of yammayammayamma where I spend WAY too much time. :)

  9. Silence is a good way to refresh the mind and the soul. Life is so much nicer when we make ourselves periodically stop and just be, without the intrusion of artificial noise or voices speaking.

  11. Love is in the eyes of the beholder. And so is silence.... and so is a smile...and so is a piece of sand....Love it and it loves!
