  2. To free ourselves from the illusion of time? That hardly seems correct when we watch the changes all around us. To divert us from the uncomfortable truth that time is marching on? Something else?

  3. I find the idea of killing time strange. To me, what others view as killing time is essential for my sanity.

  4. This is a really great insight. Our work-centric society is making us sick. Wonder what it'd be like if people valued happiness as much as material wealth, instead of equating the two as being proportional?

  5. It's time that is killing us, Marty, not the other way round—work or not.

  6. For the working class people, most of our waking hours are spent at work. The remaining hours are divided between eat, leisure and most importantly sleep except on our rest days.

For the non working class people, how they choose to spend their time is indeed killing time or else boredom reigns.
