"Oh, you can't always get what you want
ReplyDeleteBut if you try sometimes, you just might find 'that'
You get what you need"
~Rolling Stones
ReplyDeletewhen people do what others want..
I never thought of it that way, but it makes sense that not following one's own heart would result in confusion and indecision. Nice aphorism, Marty!
ReplyDeleteMarty, sometimes your aphorisms are like icebergs. They convey a hell of a lot of meaning under their visible deceptive tops.
ReplyDeleteWhat about dealing with things like responsibilities? Those often fall under the category of "Ugh, I gotta this!" LOL! But I can see over all that doing something you want to do especially choosing your career for instance helps with knowing what to do.
ReplyDeleteOften this is to benefit others, and not the individual.
ReplyDeleteMy unwavering belief in perfect paranoia means I know people are out to get me and I’m ready for that, so I shoot first!
ReplyDeleteGood one, Marty, and I second what John M wrote above citing the Rolling Stones' song!
ReplyDeleteAlways makes me think hard. I guess the idea is to act on one's desires to get the desired results.
