My daily aphorisms. Reflections on life, death, beauty, change, love, happiness, etc., written in a poetic and whimsical style.
Lovely, Marty. They do feel with such abandon.
Deep, Honest, Innocent... Insightful. I wish we all felt as children feel. What a great thing to yearn for.
Kids are such honest creatures, before adults tell them no to wear their hear on their sleeve, and they start to learn to deceive.
It's possible to feel as deeply as a child throughout life by following our hearts and ignoring what the grown ups tell us.
The courage to love and live without regret, the innocence of a child. Amen to that!
If I could I would be they are the purest of all and fragile ...
Its truly amazing how children experience life, and its hard not to step back and wish we could see the world in that way again, but it is...just too scary to do.
My best response to this is to go hug my son. :)
My 8-year old daughter is fearlessly loving, deeply empathetic and kind beyond words. In September her teacher asked parents what their goal for their child was. I wrote that I wanted her to leave elementary school with same loving heart she walked in with.
I love children, how they see the beauty in the ordinary and small things and how they are not afraid to be honest about their feelings.
This is a meaningful prayer.
It's too late for that!
