That is a very good attitude in life and that is what God wants us to do.John 10:10 says A thief comes only to rob, kill and destroy. I came so that everyone would have joy, and have it to the fullest, until it overflows. Always see the beauty in everything, and enjoy life.
...it seems that caprice is another name for kleptomania...(this says something about it)...well, no, it's not, but I had you going there for an instant.
Interestingly, I read an article about this very topic recently, which suggested humans tend to skew somewhat more negative than reality in their thinking, so aligning your view in a slightly more positive vein actually means it's more realistic. I thought it was a nice way of thinking of it.
The beauty of the world is real!
ReplyDeleteThe realist is someone who usually misses the kaleidoscope of their surroundings.
ReplyDeleteThe natural world defiantly is beautiful, but I am not so much the grey concrete.

ReplyDeleteInteresting value judgement . .
ReplyDeleteI think so too..that the reality, that's what we need to preserve! Optimistic..
ReplyDeleteYour aphorisms inspire me to make my own ones. I may or may not have scheduled one post on my blog already....
ReplyDeleteIt is! In the eyes of the optimist beholder, who accepts that this world is not perfect, it's natural beauty supersedes all its imperfections.
ReplyDeleteOnly optimism can do this, as it reaches parts other ethical systems fail to reach....usually because they're too pragmatic.
ReplyDeleteA realist smells the roses before the petals fall.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you :)
ReplyDeleteThe world indeed is beautiful. And we all need to wake up to seeing that beauty everywhere. Very nice aphorism, np :)

i run to face and solve the life at the one side of wall,
ReplyDeletebut when is time,

ReplyDeleteThe world is beautiful to a realist? Pathological irony?
ReplyDeleteand i would say, the world is beautiful ! :P
ReplyDeleteI guess that beuty is in the eye of the beholder...but a blind man can't play those jungle drums.
ReplyDeleteYou'd be surprised, poets like Yeats and Wilfred Owen, about whom I've written, tend to disagree.
